At Long Island Realtors Federal Credit Union, we consider it a high priority to earn and keep our members  trust and confidence.  This privacy notice explains how we safeguard personal information, and the choices you have about the use of that information. This notice is addressed to United States holders (members) of the Long Island Realtors Federal Credit Union.  We are committed to providing you with financial products and services to meet your needs.

What Information Do We Collect?

When you become a Long Island Realtors Federal Credit Union member, you give us information about yourself.  This includes your name, address and Social Security Number.  We obtain income and asset information only when needed for loan processing.  In connection with loans we obtain information from credit reporting

What do we do with this information?

We keep this information private and confidential.  The only time we may disclose any information is either with your written consent or in response to subpoenas,  and to help prevent fraud.

We carefully select and monitor outside service providers, and do not allow them to use or share the information for any purposes other than the service they are hired to do.

If you terminate your membership with Long Island Realtors Federal Credit Union, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as permitted or required by law.

Information security

Only employees who need it to perform their jobs are authorized to access  Customer Information.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural security measures that comply with state and federal regulations to safeguard information.   We use your name and address for mailing you statements and any information to you.

The National Credit Union Administration has standard by laws, adopted by federal credit unions, which contain strict provisions about the privacy of credit unions’ member transactions.

Unlike any financial institutions, your credit union exists to serve you, our member/owner through providing high quality financial services for your benefit, not  third parties.  You can rest assured that your credit union is on your side in protecting the privacy of your financial and personal information.
